KIDS COUNT MOST

This page was first created in 2022 because we could not sit idly by watching the negativity and attacks hitting Northville – we had to TAKE ACTION to support community over chaos, promote empathy over negativity, push for impact over indecision and fight fiction with FACTS to dispel myths, correct disinformation, and elevate the voices of thousands of people who back Northville Public Schools and our Board of Education.

Kids Count Most (KCM) has sat idle since November 2022, but when this collective group of Northvillians started to see negativity and chaos creep back into our local politics, we rallied the troops and joined the conversation to help remind us all that the KIDS COUNT MOST!

The Role of Your Local School Board

“SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS ARE THE UNSUNG HEROES IN COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY.” –  (NSBA)

Board members are more than policy-makers and administrators; they are advocates for students and their parents, teachers and school staff and entrusted partners of the district they serve. Northville Public School says that “the board is the connecting point between the local school district and our community.”

Candidates

Currently, there are four open seats on the NPS School Board. Seven candidates are hoping to earn your vote for those seats. Candidates have participated in presentations and Town Halls, and we’ve seen mailers and unofficial publications featuring a couple candidates at a time, but Kids Count Most wanted to held all Northville voter be INFORMED voters as they do their own research on these individuals.

We want to help you meet the candidates running November 2024:

KCM asked all seven candidates the following questions to allow them to share more about themselves, their campaign platforms and contact information with Northville voters. (click each name above to see responses)
  1. Who are you?
  2. Why are you running and why should we vote for you?
  3. How do you fight chaos and negativity in the community?
